Mazin’s father’s demise occurred when he was merely four years old. With a striking appearance, Mazin possessed tall stature, black hair, and fair complexion, endearing himself to all who laid eyes on him.
The Story of The Brave Mazin at the Amusement Park
Mazin was four years old when his father passed away. Mazin was a very handsome boy. He was tall with black hair and white skin, and everyone who saw him loved him. He was kind and cheerful, and he loved and cared for his little sister. Mazin loved going to the amusement park.
When Mazin turned six, his mother took him to the amusement park with his little sister Hala and allowed them to play on the rides suitable for young children. Hala loved to play on the carousel, and Mazin loved to play in the bumper cars.
The kind Mazin took his turn playing while the beautiful Hala watched and applauded him, but she was afraid of that game. Mazin was having a lot of fun playing in the cute bumper cars and didn’t feel any fear, as Mazin was a brave and intelligent boy.
When it was her turn, she entered the game enclosure and the game attendant closed the door and Hala got on the carousel. The game started moving, but the beautiful girl Hala was scared and started to cry. Mazin took pity on her and tried to help her, but the game was spinning and the fence was closed, so he started calling out to his sister in a loud voice:
“Hala, smile so we can take a picture of you”
Hala tried to enjoy herself, but she was scared, so the brave Mazin couldn’t bear to see her cry, so he started calling out to the game attendant:
“Stop it… Hala is crying… stop it!”
The mother tried to calm her little Mazin down and tried to encourage Hala to stop crying, but Hala kept crying and Mazin kept being afraid for her!
The game attendant sat down on his chair and stopped the game, and the speed of the game gradually decreased. The mother waited for it to stop, but she was surprised that the little six-year-old brave Mazin had jumped from the fence into the inside, and the game had started to stop, but it was still spinning slowly.
The fence guard tried to catch up with him, but Mazin was faster than the guard. He grabbed that horse tightly and hugged his sister and helped her down, then he held her for a full minute until she was reassured and stopped crying. Hala smiled and Mazin said to her in a tone like his father’s caring voice:
“Oh, Hala, how sweet you are when you cry”
Hala smiled and the two of them headed toward their mother. The mother was amazed by Mazin’s brave act and his kindness to his sister and his fear for her.
The game attendant expressed his feelings about the scene, saying:
“This is the sweetest child I’ve ever seen in my life”
The mother approached Mazin tenderly and hugged him and said to him:
“You are very brave and kind-hearted, but I don’t want you to risk or gamble again, there are specialists for everything here, my little one”
One day, Hala got ready to go on a trip with her family, and Hala was very happy about the trip. Her two older sisters were with her, and all the girls from the family and friends. And when the bus arrived at that luxurious and beautiful chalet, Hala felt a sense of happiness overwhelm her.
The chalet garden contained many children’s games and had a large swimming pool. Hala had never tried swimming before, so she was happy to finally try it.
Hala went to her mother and asked her to teach her how to swim, but the mother remembered something and said apologetically:
“I forgot the life jacket at home, I’m sorry, my little one!”
Hala felt a little sad, but there was a beautiful little girl named Zuhur. Zuhur was playing in the garden with a small device and heard what was going on between Hala and her mother, and the beautiful girl Zuhur decided to solve the problem. The beating Zuhur said:
“I have two life jackets, I will wear one of them and leave the other for Hala”
Hala was happy with the beautiful girl’s behavior and they became friends. Hala entered the pool wearing the life jackets and Zuhur, who was a good swimmer, entered with her.
Hala felt scared of drowning at first, but her mother encouraged her a lot until she was able to rely on herself and swim. Little Zuhur was playing next to Hala and they were enjoying swimming a lot. Hala learned a lesson in sacrifice from her beautiful friend Zuhur.
At noon, it was time for lunch, there were delicious and appetizing dishes. Each family
brought a delicious dish with them. Hala had never been on a group trip like this before, the atmosphere was great and everything was fine.
Hala saw a beautiful cat wandering around the chalet garden, so she knew it was hungry and started looking at it with compassion.
Hala’s mother asked, “Why aren’t you eating, Hala?”
Hala replied, feeling upset, “How can I eat when the cat is hungry?”
Hala’s mother laughed and said to her, “Don’t worry, Hala, we will give her the chicken bones after we finish.”
Hala didn’t like the idea, so how could she eat the meat and give the bone to the cat? So she asked her mother, “Do the bones taste good, Mom?”
The mother replied confidently, “Of course, the bones are very useful and taste great.”
Little Hala smiled innocently and took her share of chicken and went to the cat and gave it to her.
Her mother asked her in surprise, “Why did you give your share of chicken to the cat?”
Hala said, smiling a clever smile, “I will eat the bones because the bones are very delicious and healthy.”
The mother realized that Hala was too smart to be easily fooled. She laughed and said, “Okay, take my share of the meat and eat it and I will eat the bones as a reward for me.”
Everyone laughed and the mother took another piece of chicken and that trip was wonderful.
Hala returned home having met one of the most beautiful girls, Zuhur, and taught her mother a lesson in selflessness that she will never forget.

The story of Rahaf, the Honest Girl, is inspired by a true story that happened to Yemeni girl Rahaf Al-Khayyati. In one of Sana’a’s schools, Rahaf set a wonderful example of honesty.
One day, the beautiful Rahaf was sitting in front of the television watching her favorite show. Suddenly, the doorbell rang and her brother Yousef, the hero, jumped up to open it.
Rahaf heard the voices of children she knew, so she realized that her mother’s cousin had visited.
She left everything in her hands and ran towards the door, happy to see her friends Zahra and Alaa.
Rahaf was kind-hearted and loved people. She treated them with kindness and compassion.
The guest sat with Rahf’s mother, and Rahf went to her room to play with the little girls.
Zahra had some money in her purse, and while she was playing, the money fell to the ground.
Rahf found the money. She took it and went to her mother and said, “Mom, I found this money in the room and I don’t know who it belongs to!”
Her mother said, “Leave it in your pocket until someone asks about his lost money. If someone asks about any money he lost, ask him about the amount. If he answers correctly, then give it back to him.”
Rahf was an honest and kind child, and she obeyed her mother a lot and never made her angry. The little girl liked the idea and hid the money in her pocket.
While she was playing with her friends, Zahra began to check her purse as if she had lost something.
Rahf knew that Zahra had lost something and approached her gently and asked, “Did you lose anything?”
Zahra was embarrassed to speak and afraid of being misunderstood, so she replied, “No, I didn’t lose anything.”
And she turned to her sister Alaa to play with her and try to make her laugh.
Rahaf approached Zahra and asked her again:
“Are you sure you didn’t lose anything?”
Zahra felt embarrassed and began to stammer, saying:
“Actually, it seems that I forgot my money at home.”
The beautiful Rahaf smiled and took the money out of her pocket and asked Zahra:
“Is this what you lost, Zahra?”
Zahra smiled a wide smile and she was very happy and said to Rahaf:
“Thank you so much.. I really thought I had lost it.”
The following day, Rahaf woke up early to go to school and put on her beautiful bag, and waited for the bus. The bus came and took her to school. When Rahaf arrived at the school gate, she found a beautiful pen in the schoolyard.
The beautiful Rahaf took the pen and put it in her bag so that the person who lost it could look for it.
Then a mischievous girl came up to her and said sarcastically:
“What do you need the pen for when your bag is full of pens!”
But the polite Rahaf did not want to answer her.
At the end of the school day, Rahaf was surprised that no one had looked for the pen!
Rahaf was amazed and stood in the schoolyard, waiting for someone to look for her pen, but to no avail!
The bus driver got off and asked her to hurry up, but she begged him to wait a little longer.
The teacher approached her with a smile and then came closer and asked her:
“Why are you standing here alone in the sun, my baby?”
Rahaf replied:
“I found a pen in the morning and I’m waiting for its owner to come looking for it.”
The teacher smiled at Rahaf’s honesty and said to her:
“Usually, people lose hope in public places and don’t look for their lost items, especially if they are small. Thank God there are children like you, Rahaf, in the school.”
The teacher took the pen and put it in the Lost Found box. After that, the beautiful Rahaf went back home.
She changed her clothes and sat watching her mother prepare lunch, thinking about what happened at school and learning that honesty is a great quality that makes a person noble and loved by God.
Honesty is a beautiful and rare quality, and the beautiful Rahaf was honest, so everyone at school loved her and her family loved her very much.
