Storytime for kids – three stories about Brilliant Minds and Amazing Tales
Storytime for kids ‘Why don’t the stars fall?’

Bedtime stories
Professor Karim walked into the classroom with a broad smile on his face. His students adored him, for he had a unique way of making learning fun and engaging.
“Today, class, we’re going to embark on a fascinating journey through the cosmos!” Professor Karim announced, holding up a small globe. “We’ll explore the difference between planets and stars.”
As Professor Karim began to explain how the Earth revolves around the Sun and how the seasons change, his students listened intently, their imaginations soaring through space.
However, one student, Samer, seemed lost in thought, gazing at the model of the planets with a puzzled expression. Professor Karim noticed Samer’s distraction and asked with a chuckle, “Did you make it to Mars, Samer?”
The class erupted in laughter, and Samer sheepishly shifted in his seat before asking hesitantly, “Professor, why don’t the planets fall?”

The class laughed again, but Professor Karim smiled and asked, “Who can answer Samer’s question? Whoever does will receive a reward.”
None of the students raised their hands, so Professor Karim wisely said, “It seems you all need an answer.” He turned to Samer and said gently, “Come here, Samer.”
Samer stood beside Professor Karim, who pointed to the globe and asked, “Can you identify where we live, Samer?”
Samer scrutinized the map until he spotted Yemen and pointed to it. “Here, teacher, we live here.”

Professor Karim looked at him quizzically. “Oh, we’re on the side of the globe. Why aren’t we falling?”
Samer and his classmates were stumped, but Professor Karim quickly replied, “That’s because gravity keeps the planets in their orbits. It’s a remarkable phenomenon that scientists have been trying to understand for centuries.”
Samer’s eyes widened as he exclaimed, “This means there’s a force pushing us down and an equal force pulling us up to keep us stable and balanced!”
Professor Karim beamed with pride, stroking Samer’s head. “Exactly, Samer! The force pushing you down is called atmospheric pressure, while the force pulling you up is called gravity.”

The class was thrilled with this new information, and Professor Karim said, “If it weren’t for Samer’s question, you wouldn’t have learned this today. Let’s give him a round of applause.”
The class applauded Samer, and after the lesson, they thanked Professor Karim. One student even presented him with a drawing of planets and a star as a gift.
Professor Karim was delighted, saying, “You’re the best students! I wish you a bright future filled with knowledge.”
The author’s message:
Echoed in the students’ minds: “Remember, don’t laugh at your classmates’ questions. They can lead to new and useful information.”
2 – Storytime for kids “Warda and her mother”

Children’s literature
Warda lived with her mother in a cozy little house near the fields. Her mother worked tirelessly to provide for Warda, spending her days planting, harvesting, and tending to the crops. In the evenings, Warda’s mother would sit with her, sharing stories and teaching her new things.
One sunny afternoon, Warda was playing with her friend in their garden when her friend’s mother brought them cookies and hot milk.

Warda couldn’t help but feel a pang of sadness. She missed her mother, who spent so much time working. Warda thought to herself, “Why can’t my mother take care of the house and spend more time with me like Nargis’ mother does?”
That evening, Warda’s mother was sewing clothes for Warda’s favorite toy. Warda sat nearby, eating her dinner and watching her mother with sad eyes. Her mother noticed Warda’s sorrowful expression and asked with concern, “Is something bothering you, sweetie?”

Warda replied, “Mum, why do you always work? Why can’t you spend more time with me like Nargis’ mother?” Her mother smiled wisely and said, “Okay, sweetie, tomorrow I’ll stay home with you, and we’ll play together.”
Warda was overjoyed and couldn’t wait for the next day. When morning arrived, Warda and her mother played together, laughing and having a wonderful time. But as the day wore on, Warda began to feel hungry. “Mum, why didn’t you make us breakfast or lunch today?” she asked.
Her mother chuckled and explained, “Sweetie, I work to provide for you, to keep you safe, and to give you a happy life. If I don’t work, we won’t have money for food or other important things.” Warda thought about this for a moment before asking, “But how does Nargis’ mother get money?”
Her mother replied patiently, “Nargis’ father provides for their family, so her mother doesn’t need to work outside the home. Our situation is different, sweetie. You and I are a team, and we work together to take care of each other.”

Warda’s eyes widened as she understood the value of her mother’s hard work. The next day, Warda decided to help her mother with the household chores. She woke up early and said, “Mum, you work outside, and I’ll take care of the house. You’re always so tired, and I want to help.”
Warda’s mother beamed with pride, knowing that her daughter had learned a valuable lesson. “You’re smart and brave, Warda,” she said. “I’ll teach you how to work hard and take care of our home.”
When Warda’s mother returned from work, she found that Warda had cleaned the entire house. Warda was thrilled to have helped her mother, and her mother was grateful for her daughter’s assistance.
That evening, Warda’s mother prepared a delicious dinner, and as they sat down to eat, she said, “Family is the most precious thing in life, Warda. Love and cooperation make life beautiful.”
The author’s message:
Echoes in our hearts: “Dear children, every family is unique, and our lives are not like anyone else’s. A good child is one who cooperates with their parents and appreciates their hard work.”
3- Storytime for kids “Ryan with the traffic policeman”

bedtime stories
Ryan loved watching cars and buses zoom by on the streets. He’d observe their shapes, colors, and designs, and then hurry home to draw them. One day, while gazing out at the traffic, Ryan spotted a sleek, late-model car parked across the street. He couldn’t resist the urge to take a closer look, so he decided to dash across the street.
As Ryan sprinted across the pavement, the car suddenly lurched forward, and he narrowly escaped being hit. Ryan let out a terrified scream and froze in the middle of the street. Just as he thought all was lost, a strong arm swooped in and lifted him to safety.
When Ryan opened his eyes, he saw the car speeding away, and Officer Adham, a kind-faced traffic policeman, standing beside him. “Are you all right, little boy?” Officer Adham asked gently.

Ryan was still shaken, but he felt grateful for the officer’s quick thinking. “Y-yes, thank you, officer,” he stuttered, hugging Officer Adham tightly.
That evening, Ryan didn’t mention the close call to his mother, but she noticed a disturbing drawing in his sketchbook. It depicted a car screeching to a halt just inches from a small child, with a heroic traffic policeman standing guard.
Ryan’s mother approached him with concern. “Ryan, why didn’t you tell me about the accident?” she asked seriously.
Ryan looked down, feeling ashamed. “I-I thought you’d be angry with me, Mom. I crossed the street too fast and didn’t follow the rules.”
His mother’s expression turned thoughtful. “Ryan, traffic policemen like Officer Adham work tirelessly to keep us safe. When we disobey traffic rules, we put ourselves and others at risk. Do you understand?”
Ryan nodded, feeling a mix of regret and gratitude. The next day, he decided to visit Officer Adham, who was directing traffic near his school. Ryan approached him and asked, “Why do you stand here every day, Officer Adham?”

Officer Adham smiled. “I’m here to keep everyone safe, Ryan. I make sure cars stop when people cross the street, so nobody gets hurt.”
Ryan pulled out his sketchbook and handed Officer Adham the drawing he’d made earlier. “Thank you for saving me, Officer Adham. This is for you.”
Officer Adham’s face lit up with a warm smile. “You’re welcome, Ryan. The children are the reason we’re here. We’ll always do our best to keep you safe.”
From that day forward, Ryan made a promise to himself to always follow traffic rules and respect the hard work of traffic policemen like Officer Adham.
Author’s message:
“Dear children, remember that traffic policemen work hard every day to keep you safe. Be careful, follow the rules, and appreciate their dedication.”
