The Story of Battuta and the Fish
The Story of Battuta and the Fish
In one of the beautiful lakes, there was a beautiful yellow duck that lived in it. She fed on the lake’s weeds and the small fish that lived in the lake.
One day, the beautiful duck Battuta was able to catch a beautiful goldfish. Before she could eat it, the fish called out to her, in a beautiful voice!
The little duck was surprised when she heard the fish’s voice, so she left it to hear what it wanted to say.
The goldfish said, “Oh, beautiful yellow duck, why do you want to eat me?”
The duck said confidently, “Because I’m hungry!”
But the goldfish was not convinced by that excuse, so she asked reproachfully, “Does that mean that a hungry human has the right to catch and eat you?”
The yellow duck thought for a while and then replied, “Well, this is the circle of life that God created!”
But the fish took the initiative with a strange challenge that she offered to the duck. If she could answer it, it would be the duck’s right to eat the goldfish.
But if she failed to answer, the duck would comply with any judgment the fish ruled. The yellow duck agreed to that strange challenge.
The Story of Battuta, the Fish, and the Challenge 1
Battuta, the goldfish, dived deep into the lake, taking the duck along with her. They swam until they reached an old and sick fish. The goldfish asked Battuta, “Do you have a solution for this fish to regain its health?”
The duck replied, “No, I’m just a little yellow duck, and I don’t know anything about medicine.”
Battuta and the duck continued swimming until they came across a large fishing net set up by a human to catch the lake’s fish. The goldfish asked Battuta, “Can you remove this net from the lake and save the fish?”
The little yellow duck was taken aback for a moment before replying, “How can a little duck like me, who can only escape the hunt by running away, save the lake’s fish from the human’s net?”
The goldfish asked the duck to follow her, and they swam together until they reached a shell hidden deep in the lake. The goldfish asked the duck, “Do you know what is inside this shell?”
The duck fell silent in confusion and then replied, “Honestly, I don’t know what’s inside the shell. I’m just a beautiful little yellow duck who doesn’t know the hidden in shells!”
At this point, the challenge ended with the yellow duck’s failure. The goldfish asked her, “Are you ready for your punishment?”
But the little yellow duck was not ready for punishment and was afraid that the fish’s judgment might be unfair. She said to the fish, “Alright, rebellious fish against the cycle of life if you answer my questions, I will abide by your judgment and punishment.”
The Story of Battuta and the Challenge 2
The goldfish accepted the challenge and said confidently:
“Come on, yellow duck, show me what you’ve got.”
So the duck asked her:
“Can you fly?”
The goldfish said in surprise:
“How can a goldfish like me fly? I’ll die if I leave the water!”
The duck smiled and then asked:
“Can you leave the area in the winter to look for places where spring is happening?”
The goldfish was perplexed and then replied:
“Actually, I only know the lake water and life in the depths of this lake.”
So the yellow duck asked a third question:
“Can you recognize your children after they hatch from the eggs and do you protect them?”
The fish was embarrassed and said:
“Honestly, I lay my eggs and forget everything to do with them!”
At this, the duck laughed and said to the fish:
“My dear fish, God has created all of us in this life and has provided each of us with our food and drink. And none of us should be a scholar or a superhero or resemble another to live our lives normally. But each of us performs his role in this life.”
The fish said sadly:
“Okay, beautiful yellow duck, you have defeated me, you can eat me now.”
The duck replied:
“I will not eat you because you are my friend, but I will live my life naturally and I believe that God has created the universe in balance.”
The fish said happily:
“I also believe that I play an important role in this life and I believe that God created me to fulfill this role.”
